Parksville (Ocoee) Lake
During the construction of Ocoee Dam #1 in 1911, Tennessee Electric Power Company, now TVA, created the Parksville Reservoir. This is now called Parksville Lake, and also commonly referred to as Ocoee Lake, since it is a dammed section of the Ocoee River. Located in Polk County in southeastern Tennessee, Parksville Lake has 1,930 surface acres, many varieties of warm water fish, and offers lots of shoreline for fishing in addition to boat rentals.

Ocoee River - Lower, Upper, Middle
The Lower Ocoee River is a popular tubing and rafting float trip, and offers enjoyable fishing along the way. Located below Ocoee Dam #1, there is a boat ramp and free parking there. You can fish anywhere on the Ocoee River, but dodging rafts on the Upper and Middle are harder than casting a sweet line on the Lower. Fishing the Upper or Middle Ocoee when the water is off is a great option.

Hiwassee River

Toccoa River - GA/TN Border
The Toccoa River is the upstream section of the Ocoee River, but is located in Georgia where it got a different name. It literally becomes the Ocoee River as it crosses the TN/GA border at Copperhill, TN, and McCaysville, GA. Fly fishing on the gentle Toccoa is very popular, and rewarding with native and stocked trout. A popular fishing area with free parking is Horseshoe Bend Park. You will need a Georgia Fishing License to fish the Toccoa River.
